Any thoughts on CME opening up ETH futures tomorrow? Is this short term bullish or bearish? When BTC futures began trading in 2017 that was the sign of the top for that cycle. Is it going to be fuel for ETH's fire or a dampening effect as people hedge positions? Thoughts?

First of all assuming that ether is not yet decoupled from the e.g. sp 500. I think it will depend on what the stock market does, rather than what the cme future opening for ethereum means. I do not expect that ether reacts as btc reacted per se but if market falls the reaction could be exacerbated one with the excuse of the past btc performance in similar scenario. If that makes sense.

The answer is nuanced. Could it put downward pressure, yes. It will also allow those unable to participate do so as they can now hedge. 6 and two 3s.Β
